Suggested materials - Getting started with the Micro820 PLC

I hope it's obvious that most of these items are suggestions. If you're like me, you'll just use what you have if possible.

Bare Minimum

Recommended for RS-232 communication

ItemDescription
RS-232 to USB converter. There are lots of these to choose from. Most aren't trustworthy. A nice choice would be this one from BlackBox:
BlackBox P/N IC199A-R3
An adapter like this will speed up the wiring. Well worth it if you'll be experimenting with RS-232.
